It's my birthday today.


Had a simple lunch at Swensen's :) and a Choco exoctic cake from Four Leaves yummy:) My
heartfelt thanks to my Thomas Fung, Chu Lin, Zhenzhi, Suhui, Kevin Teo, Hema, cousin Yi
Ling, Kwen, Rena, Lek Evelyn and Ray(Ruihang) and my other friends. Thanks for the birthday wishes. Thou I would much prefer presents...opps :) (just kidding)

Orchard Road = crowds + traffic jam + shopping + queues

Went to watch Pirates of the Caribbean today at Cineleisure...It's so crowded as usual, actually its been quite sometime since I watched movie at Cineleisure, cause I would prefer to watch movie at The Grand Cathay and when the Cathay is in operation at AMK hub, I won't have to go all the way to town to watch movie..:)

The movie was okay.I would give it a 8 /10. As usual with lots of action and of course some humour here and there..

After that went for dinner at Takashimaya, Its so crowded, queues here and there, busy shoppers buzzing around. But we settled into Sanur restaurant and had our dinner.

It was a great weekend to hang around town especially I don't usually go town often.

3 more days to go.............stay tune.

Oh by the way, the next movie I would like to catch is Shrek 3.

New Blog Skin

I have changed to a new blog template.Nice cool blue colour :)

Ok,now I am not as worried as on the day after my ME...

here is a list of the things I have to do...

1. Go for TP and die die also must PASS !!! ( its a must manz....)

2. Chengdu Trip on 11 June - 19 June ( looking forward to this very much)

3. Temp job ( hope I would get it soon after my trip)

4. Exercise more ( includes go for more jogs , swimming and kayaking )

5. Catch up and hang out with friends ( have not done this for such a long time since the exams)

6. Go shopping...( its Great Singapore Sale, how can anyone resists =) )

7. Watch Pirates of the Caribbean, Shrek 3..and any upcoming movies

8.hmmm...get rid of all the harmful people and retain the harmless one.( I am figuring how should I do this, any suggestions)

9. Go for clubbing ( I miss clubbing since last year, must go St James, Zouk..=)


10. last but not least I must be happy( this is most important)

ME

Well my exams are over..ME.How should i describe ME..so uncertain.I did my best. Now I know what Ting means when he say that after we come out from ME we don't know if we are right or wrong, but in the end you will pass.

I tried hard and did my best. Silly mistakes was made. But I guess as long as you show to the examiner that your concept is there should be ok.

Wailoon - Don't worry exam over, you need to unwind, focus now on TP and do well for that too.

For now I should relax my mind and heart. I shell now channel my energy to TP and my upcoming overseas trip.

Wai Loon you can do it. Winners don't quit, quitters don't win.

All the best for the rest of my friends who are taking LBO , CF and FR.

Three down one more to go...ME

Exams have been fine so far until yesterday..POA. Let me go into POA later..

First paper OT, was ok.Questions were more a less there...

HRM was ok too.In fact HRM, the questions were from past examinations. Overall, quite ok with HRM and OT, I was able to write and also write more in depth cause when I got back my mock paper the examiner commented that I should write more.

Now coming to POA, the paper was tough. Yap I think they have to set it to a certain standard as previous year ( the first year which POA was in syllabus) the questions were quite direct.

I was well prepared for MC vs AC costing questions and yet did not come out. The cash budget also :(. So I had to to NPV which was one long and tedious one..I recalled Mr Balwant's advice and filled up all those that I know and most importantly the PVIF factors..and also wrote about the evaluation of NPV and IRR..The next question which I attempted was the variance question, sigh I got mixed up with all the calculations..hopefully will get some marks for the my calculations.I mean I did put some effort.

Section A was as usual not direct and also required some working to get 5 marks. I was able to do the one on correcting the balance and a few other question and also some theory questions.But than again I don't know if i am right.

I did attempt all 6 questions but some were like half done..Section B was ok except we had to calculate the stock and COGS..I did do..but than the next part my P and L , B/S did not balance..hope I did not fill up the wrong figures..Maybe i just been paranoid..but ok..Wailoon you did your best for POA..don't think about it :)

Feel better after writing all these down..next is ME...Mocks for ME was tough..I wonder this time how would they set it for main exam..I guess I would know it on Monday..

( I don't think ME would be as bad as POA and also as what was set in the mocks but than again you never know)

Wai Loon

First blog post in May

It's my first post for the month of May and its my 12th post...hooray.

My apologises that I have not been updating.Partly because I have been studying and also sometimes I also don't know what to blog also..


Some updates so far, yap exams are 12 days away, yes I have been studying but sometimes I feel so lazy and the studying mood is just not there...but at times when the study mood is there..I make full use of it..Wai Loon have to jia you and do well for the exams ...12 days away to my first paper OT and than HRM, POA and ME cannot afford to slack...should we equate study long hours to good results? I think its study smart but at the same time we should also spent a considerable amount of time studying. A balaced approach.

Okay I will stop here for now..here's a countdown to the number of days

18 Days to ME paper

26 Days to my Birthday :-) ( wow soon to be 25..feel so old )

One Month to TP and vacation in Chengdu
