Boxing Day and Post Christmas

Here's an updated after Christmas. Christmas was always plain sailing for me. Stayed at home to have a good rest. Was out shopping on the eve of Christmas eve. Had some shopping therapy, bought a pair of sandals and shoe, a shirt. :)

After a well rested three day break, was back at work on Boxing Day. Nothing much at work, was kinda quiet in the admin offices as most of my colleagues were on long leave. As usual had some irritating students come bugging me and asking me some stupid questions. ( Sorry can't go into detail on this, if you would like to know more, please ask me personally :-D)
Although I do dread some of the students, but I still like my job. I must say its challenging at times but you'll get to learn and accumulate lots of experience and knowledge.These experiences and knowledge can never be found in textbooks.

Went to watch "The Day the Earth stood still". The stars of the show were Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly. It was a good show as from the show we need to show concern to our Earth and protect it and do not take things for granted. Most importantly I learnt that do not always wait till the most critical moment than we start to repent by than it would be too late.

Singapore Standard Chartered Marathon 2008

Time for a blog update :-)

Went for the SSCM marathon - 10KM yesterday, thank goodness it was not raining. Its my 2nd time participating and I completed it in 1hr 29 mins. Started off jogging for the 1st 5kms than walk in between and than jog for the last 4kms. All in all it was a good marathon.

Met up with Thomas and Yong Bing for a drink at Spin, had my favourite Sunkiss Twist and Green Tea log cake..yummy :)

Was walking along towards Hereen, and saw the MP and SAF band marching on the road towards the Istana. There was a change of guard at the Istana.

Demanding Update :)

helloo.................everyone..hahas Its been a long long time since I last update. Had to update cause someone demands an update oopps !!

I have been busy with work.Work has been fine. Enjoy interacting with students and everyday is a good experience.
Was back at office today as I was rostered for Saturday duty....speaking of which I had not been going out for a long time too...which is good cause I can save money :-D
Hope to do some shopping..wanna buy some clothes, shoes...etc..:-D

new job, new beginning

I would be starting my new job next Monday, would be working at Student Helpdesk as a Programme Executive. Look forward to my new job. This job enables me to interact with students which is what I enjoy doing.


Had a great outing today, I had to force Alex to meet me up, haha..Ok it was not really force cause he was outside already so told him that I wanted to meet him and I was going crazy staying at home...Met up with Alex at Suntec City, the crowd was horrendous, when I was passing over citylink it was so crowded i as if some party has just ended, than the next crowd was at Suntec the walk way between the convention centre and Food Republic than the next crowd was at the escalators the crowd was expected at Suntec cause it was the Comex fair.
After dinner we headed down to the arcade to play some games, Alex recommended me the game Asia Dynamic, its a great game and its highly addictive, you go through each stage by fighting off villains. Its a game towards adventure and fighting and I look forward to my next arcade session. :)

Sidetrack a little, the Olympics has been a great inspiration to me especially the swimming events where US swimmer Michael Phelps won 8 gold medals. He has shown me that nothing is impossible when you put your heart at it.

Time to dust my blog and to update...

Just ended my one month stint at higher education dept at SIM. It was a great experience. Got to see the different types of people, have to handle supervisors who seem to think you are slow at work and keep asking what you are doing, sometimes its not I am slow, cause I am doing the work of 2 temp staff who was previously working and also the workload given to me its not possible that I am able to finish it alone.

Unappreciative and unreasonable manager who expects you to finish your work even till your last day at work, which I did finish cause I did not want to leave a bad mark.

That pretty sums it all that had happened. It was a good training ground for me, a good head start to my working life. Thou I was really angry at first but after thinking thru hey its not that bad and I did gain from this short stint. I was all in all glad that I had the opportunity to work in Higher Education dept. It laid a good foundation for me.

Moving on I would be called up for an interview. Hope they call me up for an interview soon. I want to start working. :)

Exam results would be out in late August/Early September. Keeping my fingers crossed. All the best to my friends too.
